Introducing the new thirdweb

We’ve simplified the thirdweb suite to make it easier to use. Now, you’ll find clearer interfaces built around our six core products: Wallets, Contracts, Transactions, Payments, Tokens, and Marketplace.
We believe this is the most powerful workflow for building web3 apps and games. thirdweb is now the fastest way to go from idea to app. We've made building apps with native identity and payments as easy as one API call.
As thirdweb has grown into a full-stack development suite, integrating different parts of the stack required juggling multiple APIs, SDKs, and more. We have been iterating on this direction for the past few weeks with the introduction of Build, Monetize, Scale and changes in the dashboard.
All of these changes have prepared us to start
- Working towards making thirdweb feel like one product — not a bunch of raw materials you have to stitch together
- Introducing an API to create and manage wallets, deploy contracts, send transactions, and more so you can get started and build up as you scale.
- Creating comprehensive interfaces so you can build apps, games, and agents with ability to create automated flows, notifications, and build with AI. We want to ensure you can build regardless of the available libraries and interoperable frameworks.
- Streamlining your code, docs, auth, and mental model — fewer things to learn and worry about
- Evolving our tools to fully embrace AI-powered development. As AI becomes an essential part of how developers build, we're committed to creating a product experience that complements and enhances AI workflows
- New Project and documentation organization→ Projects and docs are now organized to follow the new product structure
- Introducing an new unified API→ We created a new API which covers all services with a simplified interface
- Optimized for AI→ MCP server and Agent-friendly APIs that let you build AI workflows with ease
- Create a new or use an existing project in the thirdweb dashboard
- Discover the new API: authenticate using your project’s secret key and start exploring the new endpoints for Wallets, Contracts, Payments, etc. See the documentation reference.
- Work with AI: test the MCP server in your favorite LLM client, or inject our new llms.txt and build apps in minutes
If you’re already using our APIs or SDKs, no action is required.
- You can continue using your existing setup
- Gradual adoption is supported, if desired, and you can migrate endpoint-by-endpoint if you like
- Your current auth keys and project still work and nothing is changing on your current build.
If you use the upgraded API, all actions — whether client-side or server-side — show up in the dashboard. That means better monitoring, logs, transaction lifecycle tracking, and visibility across your app.
Q: Will the old APIs or SDKs be deprecated?
No. SDKs and dedicated service APIs are here to stay and will continue to evolve as before towards the new product simplification without any breaking changes.
Q: How are the upgraded services priced?
Services are priced as they are currently- no changes. Requests will be charged based on usage to the underlying infrastructure. See our pricing page for more details.
Q: Will portal docs change?
Yes. We’re gradually reorganizing our portal to match the new interfaces. You will see a lot of changes coming up daily. We will still ensure users on existing services have relevant documentation available.
